Jackson & Sons Crowned Dancing Stars Of Wayne County

The votes are in and the new Dancing Stars of Wayne County are crowned.  Announced during Thursday’s virtual Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Banquet, Jackson & Sons was named the Dancing Star of Wayne County for 2020.  Jackson & Sons received $3,940 in votes to win this year’s virtual event.

All of the $10 votes for the eleven participating organizations raised $13,030 for the Wayne Education Network, a program of the Wayne Charitable Partnership, Inc. and the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce.  Wayne County Chamber President Kate Daniels says the total amount of funds raised this year with sponsors was $28,805.

Over the past decade, Dancing Stars of Wayne County has raised well over $500,000 to-date to support programs of the Wayne Education Network.

The WEN has supported teacher stipends, teacher mini grants, the annual Middle School Career Fair, STEAM Fair, the annual Teacher Welcome Breakfast, Golden Rule Incentive program for teachers, and the Junior Leadership program. The money goes to support these great initiatives and affects all of us here in Wayne County. Our goal is to enhance the educational and training opportunities available to students of all ages through these programs and partnerships.

This year’s Dancing Stars video participants included:

  • BB&T-Now Truist
