Granges Raising Funds For Caisson Unit

A fundraiser is underway for the North Carolina Troopers Association Caisson Unit.

The Grantham Grange and Brogden Grange came together to raise $50,000 for the Caisson Unit, which has its horses housed right here in Wayne County.

John Crawford is the President of the Grantham Grange.

He says the Caisson Unit doesn’t usually get to go out and solicit for donations on their own, so the granges will use these donations to fund food and equipment for the unit.

To make a donation for the Caisson Unit, make a check out to the NC Troopers Association and send it to the Grantham Grange, P.O. Box 133, Goldsboro, NC 27533.

The mission of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Caisson Unit is to serve North Carolina and its bordering states of Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia during a time of loss of fallen Emergency Personnel, North Carolina Governors, and other Incumbent Members of this State.

Crawford says donations will be accepted through December.
