Brandee Rush, age 44, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 28, 2020. Born and raised in East Texas (Longview/Gladewater), she is preceded in death by her parents Steve and Janell Tolbert. She was a former member of the United States Air Force, a former employee of Bank of America, and most recently, an accountant for Butterball.

Brandee’s full-of-life personality is one that will never be forgotten. She modeled true passion in every part of her life…a full-in, no holds barred approach to enjoying every moment. Even in the midst of overwhelming trials, she used her gifts and life experiences to ease the burdens others were facing.

She is survived by her loving husband of eleven years, David Rush, and three amazing children, Gage, Brendan, and Harrison, all of which were the lights of her life. She will be remembered fondly by her sister, Tracy Tolbert Choate and husband Trent and their five children as well as a multitude of extended family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances who crossed her path over the years.

A celebration of Brandee’s life along with military honors will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 02, from the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Freddy Pierce officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Shumate-Faulk, at other times at the home.
