Daisy Lane Best, 89, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care. A native of Eureka, Daisy owned and operated Jackson Moving and Storage in Goldsboro for many years. She was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

Daisy was a hard-working woman, which was the theme of her life, she lived to work. She was loyal to her family and took great pride in caring and providing for them. Daisy will be remembered for the love and laughter that she shared during her well-lived life.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Daisy is survived by her sons, John Douglas Best and Larry Wayne Best; daughter, Paulette Suggs and husband Billy; grandchildren, Derrick Best, John Paul Best, Kylie Sledge and husband Stephan, and Lindsey Carter and husband Joshua; and great-grandchildren, Saylor Sledge and Laken Sledge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Best; son, Jerry Best; and mother, Nancy Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 752 Stoney Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
