WCC Honors Its Veterans

The local college celebrates its students, faculty and staff that served in the United States Armed Forces.

On a Veterans Day that looked a little different due to the pandemic, Wayne Community College took to its Facebook page where it shared the stories of veterans connected to the campus.

WCC Facilities and Grounds Superintendent Chris Schott shared his experience serving in the U.S. Air Force and says it gave him the opportunity to travel the world and allowed him to further his education.

Campus Police Officer Ron Baker served in the U.S. Army and says he was honored to protect America’s tradition of life.

Wayne Community College was also selected to receive a POW/MIA Chair of Honor from Chapter 371 of the Air Force Sergeants Association.

You can view the veteran stories on Wayne Community College’s Facebook page.
