The C.B. Aycock football team started workouts on Tuesday. The Golden Falcons and the rest of Wayne County are getting ready to start a shorted seven-game football season in February.
Players, who brought their own water bottles, arrived and were put into a socially distant line to go through pre-workout COVID-19 screenings, which included masked coaches using non-touch thermometers.
Playing football during a pandemic is challenging, but the coaches have made things as normal as possible while following all of the COVID-19 guidelines.
The Golden Falcons finished 7-5 last season and advanced to the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3A playoffs. C.B Aycock opens its season against South Central on Friday, Feb. 26th.
