United Way Continues Community Campaign Push

The United Way of Wayne County is already at 40% of its goal for the 2020 Community Campaign.

The funds raised so far will impact over 7,200 lives in Wayne County.

However, the United Way is hoping to impact over 18,000 lives by raising $900,000 total by the time the campaign ends December 1st.

Appearing on Jeff Farrow’s Morning Show on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3, Sherry Archibald, the Executive Director of the United Way of Wayne County, said they’re still happy to work with local employers to set up workplace campaigns.

During the pandemic, Archibald says the organization has worked on meals for students, supported laundry for residents and provided emergency assistance to nearly 100 households.

Bethany Perry, the United Way’s 2020 Campaign Chair, said the organization is also working with the Health Department during the pandemic.
