Wildon Price

October 10, 2020, 89, LaGrange

Harry Lee Wildon Price was received into the arms of his Savior on October 10, 2020. Wildon was born in Wayne County to the late Milford Roscoe Price and Annie Mae Jones Price on February 26, 1931. In addition to his parents, Wildon was preceded in death by his sister, Hilda Mae Rollins. Wildon proudly served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army.

Wildon was completely and irrevocably in love with his wife, Virginia. With a marriage lasting over 40 years, the romance they shared was that of a storybook. Virginia took care of Wildon, ironing all of his clothes and cooking his breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Wildon ate whatever she cooked and never complained. She was his sidekick, his backbone, and the beat of his heart. Virginia was the most important person in his life, and his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was the only thing that came before her. Wildon chose to serve his Lord and live out that faith through the ministries at Tanglewood Church of God.

Over the years, Wildon and Virginia worked many projects together. They would purchase and flip houses, buying, moving, flipping, and selling nearly 25 times over the years. His knowledge of construction and her eye for design were the perfect equation to equal success.

Wildon was a good daddy, always caring and giving. When his grandchildren came along, his heart melted and his grandbabies became the apples of his eye. Wherever you saw Wildon and Virginia, you were sure to see Brittany and Victoria as well. Each of their grandchildren held a special place in Granddaddy’s heart.

Hardworking and dedicated, Wildon built a business that served his community for decades. He was the owner and director of Price Sheetrock Company. Wildon and his son, Kevin, worked alongside one another for many years.

A service to honor and remember Wildon’s life will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. by the graveside at Pinelawn Memorial Park. A time of fellowship will be held immediately following the service. The family respectfully requests guests to practice social distancing during the service and visitation.

Wildon is survived by his children, Kevin Price (Dawanna), Kim Stroud (Larry), and Mark Carde (Erin); grandchildren, Heather Shea, Kristi (Jeff), Jayda, Steven, Joshua, Taylor (Zack), Timothy, Brittany (Jonathan), Victoria, Kayli, and Brittany Landing; 14 great-grandchildren; a special niece, R-Net, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
