Cindy Perry Creech, 60, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Cindy was born in Lenoir County on February 22, 1960 to the late Vance Perry and Mary Elizabeth Rivenbark. For many years, Cindy worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.

Throughout her life, Cindy lived her life with resiliency and a love for life. She faced her obstacles with grace and dignity and with an abiding faith in Jesus Christ. Cindy could light up a room with her joyous personality and radiant smile. She was an amazing Mama and Nana to her children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew her knew she could make friends with anyone and was a kind, and loving person to all she met.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 17 years, J.W. Creech; children, Stephen Anderson and wife April, Nick Sutton and wife Amy, Sarah Brown and husband Matt, and Justin Sutton and wife Megan; grandchildren, Destiny, Seth, Karinne, Mackenzie, Morgan, Katie Bug, Cabela Lynn, Jesse James, Weston, Kendall, Blake and Danni; step-children, Bradley Creech and Brittany Creech; sisters, Elizabeth King and Susie Gala; and brothers, Robert Perry and Joseph Rivenbark. She is also survived by her best friend, Jennifer Britt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vernell Lipscomb, Joyce McHale and Wanda Perry; and a dear friend, Sandra Wise.
