The USDA is investing in rural Wayne County.

Robert Hosford, the USDA Rural Development State Director, visited two spots in Wayne County bringing good news for the communities.

In Mount Olive, Hosford announced $1.2 million in loans and grants would be used to help the town purchase two new fire trucks.

Later in Fremont, Hosford announced a total of $634,000 in loans and grants to outfit a pumper/tanker truck for the town’s fire department.
