Wayne Country Day placed first in a six-team match contested at Lane Tree Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon.
The Chargers posted a three-player total of 122– seven strokes lower than runner-up O’Neal (129). Cape Fear Academy ended up third at 139, followed by St. David (145), Pungo Christian Academy (160) and Epiphany (187).
Wayne Country Day’s Ashton Gupton claimed the lowest score with a 38. Gupton’s teammate, Karsyn Robert, shot a 41. Anna Reimers was close behind with a 43. Caroline Bryan (63), Madalyn Brown (61) and Raven King (62) also represented the Chargers.
