Peggy Bartlett Evans, 78, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born in Nash County on May 8, 1942 to the late Jesse and Agnes Walston Bartlett. She was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Williamson officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Evans; daughters, Patricia Edwards and husband Donnie of Goldsboro, Kim Trent of Pikeville and Sarah Sasser and husband Brian of Fremont; sisters, Iris Kern and husband Tim of Wisconsin, Patsy Edwards of Goldsboro, and Bonnie Capps of Goldsboro; brother, Kenneth Goff of Kinston; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Stoney Creek F.W.B. Church fellowship hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Davis and brother, Billy Goff.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in her memory to Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 752 Stoney Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
