Cynthia Gilman “Cindy” Witt Hubrich, 85, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at her home.
Cindy was born in Macon, Georgia on July 8, 1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gilman. She lived a life of dedication to her family and friends, and to her community. For many years, Cindy volunteered with Wayne County’s Meals on Wheels Program. She loved life and will be remembered by many for her great sense of humor. Cindy will live forever in all our hearts.
A service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 by the graveside at the Pikeville Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Max; step-son, Jeff Hubrich; step-daughter, Sherri Lapos and husband Bernie; grandchildren, Tommy Deloach and wife Tara, Abby Deloach, Jeffrey Hubrich, Christy Reynolds and husband Steven, Brian Hubrich and wife Tresha; Christina Lapos, and Jenny Phillips and husband Charlie; and thirteen great-grandchildren (Greats).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tom Deloach and sister, Rae Stevens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Cures for the Colors, SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
