Downgraded Sally Continues Toward N.C.

The local area should prepare for drenching rains over the next two days.

While the worst of Sally – now a tropical depression – won’t impact Wayne County, several inches of rain are still expected as the remnants of Sally cross North Carolina.

3 – 5 inches of rain are expected across the region with locally higher amounts possible.

There’s also the possibility for tornadoes in some parts of the state.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Wayne County until Friday afternoon.

Remember – Turn around and don’t drown.  It only takes 12 inches of water to carry away a car.
