Mount Olive Chamber To Hold Fundraising Dinner In October

The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a fund-raising dinner/reverse raffle on Thursday, October 22 at R & R Brewing in downtown Mount Olive. Proceeds raised will benefit chamber projects. Tickets are $100 per couple and include meals for two and a chance to win the main prize of $5000.

Due to the corona virus pandemic, three options are available for supporters of this fundraiser. All three options make ticket purchasers eligible to win the main prize of $5,000. The three options are: (1) attend the live event at R & R Brewing and eat dinner at the brewery, (2) go through the R & R Brewing drive-thru to pick up meals and watch the drawing on Facebook Live or (3) purchase a ticket but receive no meals. Due to the variety of options, it is imperative that ticket purchasers indicate on their reverse raffle ticket if they want to split money (if they have a winning ticket), which meal option they choose and a telephone number. Once an option is chosen, it will not be possible to switch to a different option.

For those who chose option one, they will attend the live event option at R & R Brewing, located at 541 NW Center Street. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Most of the seating will be on the patio and outdoors. Attendees who want to attend the live event are encouraged to purchase tickets early since there will a be limited number of seats available outside (six people per table) and inside (four people per table). Sponsors will have an option of eight person tables. Attendees must wear a mask until seated at their table and practice social distancing. Dinner (pork chop, baked potato, salad, roll & dessert), drinks and water will be served, and a cash bar will be available.

Due to the restrictions and limited number of seats available at the live event at R & R Brewing, option two is available. In option two, patrons who purchase a $100 ticket will go through a drive-thru, located at R & R Brewing, between 5:00-6:00 p.m. and pick up two take-out meals. Each meal will consist of pork chop, baked potato, salad, and roll. In the past, if ticket purchasers were unable to attend the event, they could not get take-out but due to our unique circumstances, we are providing that option this year. The take-out meals can be enjoyed at home while tuning into the 7:15 p.m. Facebook Live drawing.

The third option is for those who want to show support for the Mount Olive Chamber but do not plan to attend the event or want meals but are still eligible for prizes.

Sponsorships for the Mount Olive Chamber fund-raising dinner are available for $500. The $500 sponsorship includes 4 raffle tickets and provides eight people the opportunity to attend the live event at R & R Brewing. All sponsors will have their logos included on the raffle program as well as a designated, decorated table at the event.
