Wayne County has surpassed 3,000 cases of the coronavirus.  According to Tuesday’s update from Wayne County Government, there have been 3,002 total positive cases of COVID-19 recorded in the county since the pandemic began.  2,442 of those cases have come from outside of congregate care facilities.  There are currently an estimated 191 active cases of the coronavirus in the county when taking into account those already considered recovered.  Since Friday’s update, there have been two more COVID-19 deaths in Wayne County.  The county has now recorded 58 total coronavirus-related deaths.
