The National Weather Service offices in Raleigh and Newport have issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in North Carolina…For the Neuse River in Wayne and Lenoir counties…including Goldsboro and Kinston…Minor flooding is forecast.

The Flood Warning continues for the Neuse River Near Goldsboro.
* From this evening to Monday morning.
* At 6:15 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 17.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0 feet this evening.
* Impact…At 18.0 feet, Water overflows the banks at the SR1915 bridge and upstream of the US117 bridge.
The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued a Flood Warning for the Neuse River At Kinston.
* From Monday afternoon until further notice.
* At 8:15 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 12.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 15.2 feet Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
* Impact…At 14.0 feet, Water overflows into lowlands adjacent to the river. Water access docks are also affected.
