George Thomas “Tom” Bland, Jr., of Orlando, FL died on August 29, 2020. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro, NC followed by a service to celebrate Tom’s life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Edmundson Family Cemetery.

Mr. Bland was preceded in death by his father, Col. George T. Bland, Sr., mother, Lawlos Bland, and sister, Betsy Bland. He is survived by wife, Nancy Roden Bland; children George Bland IV, Elizabeth Bland, and Mackenzie Bland as well as grandchildren, his great-aunt Bertha Davis, great-uncle Henry Edmundson, and numerous beloved cousins.

Mr. Bland graduated from University of Central Florida (’75 and ’79) with a business degree and an MBA. He was also elected to the University’s Business Hall of Fame and served on numerous committees and boards in the Central Florida area.
