Over $8,000 is raised during the Goldsboro Fire Department’s latest “Fill the Boot” effort.  According to a Facebook post, Goldsboro firefighters raised $8,054 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association last weekend.  The firefighters were stationed at the Lowe’s on Berkeley Boulevard Friday, Saturday and Sunday asking patrons and passersby to “Fill the Boot” for the MDA.  The funds will go toward the MDA’s Frontline COVID-19 Emergency Fund to continue services for local families living with neuromuscular diseases.
