A car crash involving a Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy has shut down the intersection of Ruskin Road and Sleepy Creek roads.

The crash occurred Wednesday evening when the deputy’s patrol vehicle collided with a private citizen’s vehicle near Dudley.

Several people were injured including the deputy.

The intersection is closed until further notice as the accident scene is investigated and cleared.

The State Highway Patrol is on the scene.
