It appears the Neuse River will avoid flooding near Goldsboro.  After the local area was inundated with over 3.5 inches of rain from Tropical Storm Isaias this week, the National Weather Service predicts the Neuse River near Goldsboro will only crest around 15.5 feet late Saturday or early Sunday, still well below minor flood stage at 18 feet.
