David Clarence Cottle, 65, passed away Wednesday night, August 5, 2020 at his home just outside of Faison.

He was a self employed carpenter, a member of Northeast Free Will Baptist Church and its men’s fellowship.

David’s life will be remembered on Sunday, August 9, at 2 p.m. at a service in the Tyndall Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Dustin Bannister. The family will receive friends at the funeral home just after the service, and at the Cottle residence at other times.
In lieu of flowers, to honor David’s memory, one may make a memorial gift to Northeast Church or Northeast Church Men’s Fellowship (c/o Jo Brown, 1551 Kelly Springs Road, Mount Olive, NC 28365)

David was preceded in death by his father, Avery Lee Cottle, and a brother, Rex Cottle. He is survived by his wife, Susan Jones Cottle; two daughters and their husbands, Wendy and Randy Murray of Raleigh, and Cindy and Jerrud Blegen of South Dakota; his mother, Shirley Jernigan Cottle Deal of Calypso; a brother, Sonny Cottle of Faison; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
