Wayne County Avoids Worst Of Isaias (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

Wayne County was spared some of the worst damage from Tropical Storm Isaias.  Isaias started to impact Wayne County late Monday night as hurricane.  By early Tuesday morning, Isaias had been downgraded to a tropical storm.  The National Weather Service Office in Raleigh reports a wind gust of 47 mph was recorded in Wayne County as the storm quickly moved north across the region.  The National Weather Service reports just about 3 ½ inches of rain fell in Goldsboro during the storm.  The wind and rain left some roadways flooded.  Downed trees were also reported across the county.
