Christopher Ray Witherington, 51, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Chris was born in Wayne County on July 27, 1969 to Brenda Kay Sauls Witherington of Goldsboro and the late Willie Ray Witherington. He will be remembered by many as an avid UNC Tarheel fan.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Krystie Brooke Witherington; brother, Ron Witherington and wife Kelli; nephews, Matthew and Jordan; and his companion, Michelle Blanchard.
