Minnie Ruth (Ruth) Price Gann of the Seven Springs area – born November 13, 1940, one of nine children to Clarence and Annie Price, was reunited on July 29, 2020, with a long list of loved ones. Ruth died peacefully in her home, the place of her birth, surrounded by family.

Ruth was a long time member of the Wayne’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, and dedicated her life to spreading the love of Christ through many years of evangelistic and music ministry. She traveled the state serving as a disciple, preaching and also singing alto in a quartet with her sister Violet, brother-in-law Bob, and brother Gene, leading many people to surrender their lives to the Lord.

Ruth had been employed as a cashier and greeter at Wal-Mart and had also been employed with Boling Chair Company and Edgemont Meats.

In Ruth’s later years, heart and kidney disease ravished her body and dementia tried to steal her mind, but now is fully whole. Ruth loved her children, but her grandchildren and greatgrands were her pride and joy.

Ruth is survived by her son, Tony Price (Lynn), son, Jeff Gann, daughter Angela Lord (Johnny), and brother Gene Price (Sheila), brother Clitus Price (Annette), grandchildren, Ashley Roberts (Dusty), Steven Price (Jennifer), Jason Etheridge (Heather), Donna Diver(Steven), Jeremy Todd Gann(Kalyn), Jennifer Gann, Jessica Ring (Chris), Stephanie Bennett (Brandon), Denise Nance (Davy), and Katie Lord, greatgrands Matthew, Cody, Olivia, Kynlee, Karsyn, Emma, Abigail, Chloe, Trinity, Annabelle, Kaylee, Zac, Joel, Jake,Addison, Harper, Emerson, baby Nance, longtime family friend Nancy Stump, and countless nieces and nephews.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents, siblings Harvey Price, Hazel Hines, Polly Price, Louise Shamel, Wilbur Price, Violet Dickerson, son William Lee Gann, ex-husband Richard Gann and daughter-in-law Rebecca Gann.

Funeral services will be held at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Olive at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 3. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald Jones and the Rev. Johnny Lord. Burial would follow the service at Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs. Mrs. Gann’s remains may be viewed on Monday prior to the service. Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 2309 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro NC 27534.

Facial coverings and social distancing at the service would be appreciated for the welfare of the family and all in attendance.
