The State Highway Patrol has released the identity of the tractor-trailer driver that has now been charged for a fatal hit-and-run near Mount Olive.  57-year-old Eric J. Ekstrom of Lucama has been charged with Felonious Hit-and-Run Resulting in Death as well as a Stop Sign Violation.  Ekstrom allegedly ran into another vehicle when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 55 and Kelly Springs Road Wednesday morning.  36-year-old Kristopher A. Parks of La Grange was killed in the crash, and the tractor-trailer continued on after the collision.  The Highway Patrol had located the tractor-trailer and identified Ekstrom as the driver by Wednesday afternoon.  Ekstrom’s bond has been set at $10,000 unsecured.
