USDA-RD Loan Program Assists ReNu Life Construction

A traumatic brain injury treatment facility in Goldsboro is constructing a new facility thanks in part to assistance from the USDA.

USDA Rural Development is providing ReNu Life Center a 90 percent guarantee on a $3.9 million loan from Southern Bank for the new facility off Wayne Memorial Drive and New Hope Road.

Wednesday, USDA-RD State Director Robert Hosford and North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey toured the ReNu Life construction site.

Hosford says USDA-RD wants to help prepare the Goldsboro area for future growth since it is considered a “Bedroom Community” for the Raleigh area.

Diane Harrison, ReNu Life’s CEO, says the new facility will offer 24 beds in all private rooms, as well as more modern rooms and equipment for therapy and physical therapy.

ReNu Life in Goldsboro is one of the largest providers of brain injury services in North Carolina.
