One person is dead following a hit-and-run car crash in southern Wayne County.  The fatal collision occurred just before 5:30 AM Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 55 and Kelly Springs Road near Mount Olive.  According to the State Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer travelling north on Kelly Springs Road failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a Suzuki travelling along Highway 55.  The driver of the Suzuki, 36-year-old Kristopher A. Parks of La Grange, was killed in the crash.  The tractor-trailer continued on after the collision, but the Highway Patrol had identified the suspect vehicle and driver by Wednesday afternoon.  The State Highway Patrol is not releasing the identity of the tractor-trailer driver as the accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.
