Wayne County has recorded 30 coronavirus-related deaths as the county’s total case count approaches 2,000.

According to the Wednesday update from Wayne County Government, there have 1,940 total positive cases of COVID-19 in Wayne County.

When considering all the cases that are considered recovered, the county currently has an estimated 224 active cases of coronavirus.

The latest person to pas away due to COVID-19 in Wayne County was an individual in their late-60s with underlying health conditions.  The death was not associated with a congregate care facility.
