Mrs. Lavenia Ann Gibson Murchison, 73, passed on Monday, July 6, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. The celebration of her life will be held graveside on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 10:30am at Beechwood Cemetery, 3300 Fayetteville Street, Durham, NC. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.

She was born on October 30, 1946 in Durham, NC to Jesse and Margaret Renfrow Gibson. She is survived by her husband, Charles Murchison and daughter, Wataqua Cox and her grandchildren.
