Last week Tuesday, Alex Walker of Boy Scout Troop 3 delivered approximately 20 containers packed with food items and drinks to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Walker was assisted in this delivery by other members of his scout troop and family. He collected the items for law enforcement to show his appreciation for their service during the current times as well as working towards earning his Eagle Scout badge. Sheriff Larry Pierce was present along with other members of the Sheriff’s Office to accept the donation and show their appreciation for the generosity of Walker and the others who accompanied him. Sheriff Pierce stated he was appreciative of the gesture and for the work and dedication of this young man to honor law enforcement.
