Mayor: City Looking At Tight Budget Year

Protesters and a shaky budget situation greet Goldsboro as the city starts to reawaken from the coronavirus pandemic.

During an interview with Jeff Farrow on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3, Goldsboro Mayor Chuck Allen talked about the precarious financial situation for the city this year.

He says the city is unsure how revenues will be impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Allen also praised everyone involved that helped keep the recent protests in Downtown Goldsboro peaceful.

Mayor Allen says the city has already been working on, and will continue to work on, improving race relations.
