William Hugh Norris, Jr., 53, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his home. Born in Wayne County on March 21, 1967, he was the son of William Hugh and Ruby Sutton Norris.

William worked for Transformer Maintenance Service in Newton Grove. He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. William was a picker and loved to visit thrift stores. He had a larger than life personality and a sense of humor like no other. William would laugh at any and everything, having a knack for making any situation hilarious.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate his life at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Michael Wright officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, William is survived by his sons, William Hugh “Will” Norris, III and Maxwell Elliott “Max” Norris; and sister, Leah Norris.
