May 29, 84,
Daniel Caroll Sutton completed his journey home on Friday, May 29, 2020 to the welcoming words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Danny was born in Wayne County on May 17, 1936 to the late Daniel Cornelius Sutton and Christine Lee Kornegay. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Danny retired from General Electric in Goldsboro after 32 years of service. He loved working in his vegetable garden and his yard even more.
He loved Freedom Baptist Church and was a dedicated and faithful member. Danny served for many years as a deacon at the church. Even in his declining health, Danny continued to exemplify God’s love and a heart for serving others.
Danny loved life and the life he had with his family. God blessed him with all His love as he so faithfully read about in his bible. Danny will live forever in all our hearts. We will see him one day in Heaven, he is at rest now, in the arms of God.
A service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
