Carlton Cobb Daniels, Jr., 74, passed away peacefully on May 26 surrounded by his family at their home in Goldsboro, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Ann Daniels; their four daughters , Tracy Moore and husband Jack, Suzanne Daniels Matheson and husband Ryan, Caroline Johnson and partner Montrell Coley, Jennifer Modica and husband Tim; their 13 beautiful grandchildren, Victoria Wade, Christina Wade, Ryan Abbondanza, Austin Modica, Timothy Modica, Jr., Jaden Modica, Pyper Matheson, Nick Modica, Eric Johnson, Kate Versnick, Bentley Matheson, Blakeley Matheson, Khaleesi Coley and great granddaughter Trinity Bryant.

Carlton is also survived by his loving brother, Allen Daniels, Sr. and wife Ethelene of Raleigh, NC, sister, Frances Daniels Lewis of Goldsboro, NC, special cousin, Roy Fowler and wife Robin of Georgia, sister-in-laws, Vera Insley of Arizona, Cathy Graham and husband Byron of South Carolina and many cousins, nephews, and nieces that were all loved by him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Cobb Daniels Sr. and Helen Kleinert Daniels of Goldsboro, NC.

Carlton was a native of Goldsboro and graduated from Aurora High School, where he played basketball and was a star on and off the court. After high school, he took up a passion for flying, his favorite plane being the Cessna 210. He quickly demonstrated an exceptional ability to navigate in all types of weather and situations. He loved attending NASCAR races, water skiing, and boating with family. Carlton retired as an electrician with Daniels Electric Company in 1989.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate his life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Ryan Barbato officiating.
