Robert Aaron “Bob” Kearney, 48, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his home. He was born to Eleanor Edmundson Kearney Gooding and the late Walter Henry Kearney in Wayne County on March 30, 1972.

Bob was a hard-working man being a roofer by trade. In his younger years he earned many merits as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Community Baptist Church followed by a service to celebrate his life at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith-Edmundson Family Cemetery. The family will be gathering at the home of Hank and Virginia Kearney.

Bob is survived by his parents, Bobby and Eleanor Gooding; daughters, Breanna Kearney, Tiffany Langley, Kayla Wardien, and Brittany Barfield; brothers, Hank Kearney (Virginia), Bruce Kearney (Kaye), Bobby Lee Gooding (Shirley), and Rodney Gooding (LeeAnn); special friend, Diane Peedin; special friend, Amado Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.
