GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Open enrollment has officially begun at Wayne Preparatory Academy (WPA), welcoming new students across all grade levels for the upcoming school year.
As part of its enrollment period, WPA is placing a special focus on its youngest learners with a Kindergarten Round Up event designed to help families prepare for the transition into kindergarten in a fun and welcoming environment.
The western-themed, drop-in event will take place Wednesday, February 19, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Middle School Gym. Future kindergarten students and their families are invited to enjoy games and activities, meet teachers and staff, and explore the school. (Boots are optional.)
“Our goal is to help these little scholars feel confident and excited about starting kindergarten,” said Rebecca Whittle, Chief Operating Officer at Wayne Preparatory Academy. “Kindergarten Round Up gives students a chance to explore the school, meet their teachers, and begin building friendships and connections before the school year even begins.”
Wayne Preparatory Academy encourages community members and organizations to help share information with families who may be interested. A flyer with additional details is available.
