GOLDSBORO, NC – Families still searching for the right educational fit for the upcoming school year have an opportunity to join the Wayne Preparatory Academy community, as the school continues to accept applications for its remaining enrollment openings.
Wayne Preparatory Academy (WPA) has limited seats still available and is inviting prospective families to learn more about its academic programs, extracurricular opportunities, and student-centered approach to education.
As the school prepares to welcome students back to campus, administrators are highlighting another year of growth across academics, athletics, the arts, and career-focused learning.
This year, Wayne Preparatory Academy welcomed several new staff members while also promoting familiar educators into leadership positions. School leaders say the combination of new talent and experienced faculty has strengthened instruction, enhanced student support systems, and fostered a positive school culture across all grade levels.
The academy’s award-winning FFA and Agricultural Education program continues to earn state-level recognition, with students excelling in leadership development and career-focused competitions. The program remains a cornerstone of hands-on learning and career preparation.
Students also showcased their creativity during the school’s first-ever student art show, which featured artwork from kindergarten through high school honors art classes. The event attracted strong community support and highlighted artistic talent throughout the school.
Wayne Preparatory Academy’s athletic programs also continue to excel. Multiple teams have captured championship titles in recent seasons, while several student-athletes have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, reflecting the continued growth of the school’s athletic department.
The upcoming school year will also mark a historic milestone as members of the rising senior class prepare to graduate. Several of those students have attended Wayne Preparatory Academy since kindergarten during the school’s inaugural year. Known affectionately as the “OGs,” or Original Generals, they will become the first students to complete their entire K-12 education at the school.
Looking ahead, WPA is expanding instructional practices that emphasize hands-on, real-world learning experiences designed to reduce reliance on screen-based instruction while increasing student engagement and deeper understanding across subject areas.
Wayne Preparatory Academy describes itself as “big enough for great things, small enough that scholars aren’t just a number,” emphasizing its commitment to personalized instruction within a growing school community.
