Cross Country: Local Runners Compete In State Championship Meets

Over the weekend, Goldsboro sophomore Jay Bass competed in the season-ending N.C. High School Athletic Class 2A boys’ state cross country championships with a 56th-place effort. Girls Basketball: Southern Wayne Takes Down New Bern

Ty’Lisha Maye scored 14 points and had eight steals to lead the Lady Saints past New Bern 33-30 on Friday evening. Jamaiya Bass scored five points and grabbed eight rebounds.
