Cross Country: Local Runners Compete In State Championship Meets
Over the weekend, Goldsboro sophomore Jay Bass competed in the season-ending N.C. High School Athletic Class 2A boys’ state cross country championships with a 56th-place effort. Overcoming the bitter-cold weather, Rosewood’s Billy Strickland had another great race on Friday by crossing the tape in 18:51.87 in the N.C.
