Randall Lee Scott, 68, of Pikeville passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Randall was born in Durham County on January 12, 1957 to the late Harold Lee and Mable Lanell Tuck Scott.  Randall was a skilled carpenter by trade and spent many years working in the construction industry.  He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.  In his free time, Randall enjoyed fishing and camping, finding peace and happiness outdoors.  He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and supported the Dallas Cowboys.  Most of all, Randall cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, who brought him his greatest joy and purpose in life.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Deborah Scott; two sons, Jarrett Preston Scott (Shelsy) of Pikeville and David Lee Scott of Goldsboro; one sister, Vicki Eileen Scott Morris of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Juliette Leigh Scott and Jaxon Myles Scott; his nephew, David Scott McDonough and his nieces, Summer Scott Hinson, Jennifer Elaine McDonough Carraway, Allison Paige Morris Rohrbach and Erin Graye Morris.

In addition to his parents, Randall was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Hal Scott.
