GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Nearly a month has passed since 21-year-old Tra’sond Marquail McNeil was reported missing, and investigators are continuing to search for answers — and for him.
On Nov. 10, 2025, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Goldsboro Police officers received a report of a missing person after McNeil had not been seen since Nov. 8. According to the initial report, his last known location was the 600 block of Sherard Court in Goldsboro.
McNeil is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt with a red design, and blue and white shoes.
New Details in the Investigation
As part of the ongoing case, the Goldsboro Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint operation in the southern part of Wayne County on Nov. 20. Investigators now believe McNeil was taken from Sherard Court in a blue vehicle traveling south on U.S. 117 toward Dudley.
Family members continue to plead for information. In an interview with WITN-TV, McNeil’s grandmother, Tonya Wooten, shared the family’s heartbreak and desperation.
“I just want to know where his body is. I don’t even care about who did it,” Wooten said. “We can go down that road later. Right now, I want to know where his body is so we can have some closure.”
