This week’s WGBR Pet of the Week powered by Jackson & Sons, highlights Kravitz, a sweet and well-mannered dog who has been patiently waiting for a loving family since August.

Wayne County Animal Shelter Executive Director Graham Price says Kravitz is “the most well-behaved gentleman” and can’t understand why he’s still at the shelter. Kravitz is polite, calm, and great with other dogs. Price believes he was once a house dog and would quickly settle right into a home again.

“He is definitely the apple of your eye when you get to know him,” Price said. “Why nobody has chosen him, I will never understand.”

Kravitz is a medium-sized mix with Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd traits — ideal for families who love the “lab life” and are looking for a loyal companion.

In addition to Kravitz, the shelter has many cats and dogs in need of homes — and they also welcome donations, including newspapers, to help care for the animals.
