Faye Johnson Pittman, 95, passed away peacefully early Monday morning at Helping Hands Assisted Living. Born in Wilson County on November 13, 1930, Faye was the daughter of the late Ollie Cecil Johnson and Linnie Lamm Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Pittman; her son, Don Pittman; her sister, Beth Green; and her brother, Jerry Johnson.

Faye lived a life marked by quiet devotion, steady hands, and a servant’s heart. She retired from Cherry Hospital in Goldsboro, where she faithfully worked for many years as a seamstress, using her gifts to bring comfort and care to others. A member of Pinkney Missionary Baptist Church, Faye continued that spirit of service within her church family.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Faye’s life at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Pastors Calvin Craft and Steven Gay officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Joan Pittman, along with her cherished nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Helping Hands Assisted Living and 3HC for the compassionate and dedicated care shown to Faye throughout her declining health. Your kindness has been a true blessing.
