Marjorie Lewis Blizzard, 87, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Somersett Court in Goldsboro. Born in Wayne County on June 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leon T. Lewis and Nora Talton Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John D. Blizzard, and seven of her siblings.

Marjorie’s life was marked by compassion, service, and a deep love for children. She studied to become an LPN and faithfully served with Wayne County Social Services before retiring from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Her gentle presence in the nursery brought comfort to countless new parents, and her nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on the families she cared for.

A devoted member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro, Marjorie’s sweet and humble spirit shined brightly among her church family. She loved worshiping her Lord and found great joy in gathering with her cherished congregation. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and her kindness reflected the heart of Christ.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Johnny Blizzard and wife, Jennifer, and Jeff C. Blizzard; grandchildren, Ryan Killette and Alyce Killette; as well as several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Bill Rose officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
