RALEIGH, N.C. — Two major pro-business organizations have ranked Representative John Bell (R-Wayne) among the top lawmakers in North Carolina supporting job creation and economic growth.
The North Carolina FreeEnterprise Foundation (NCFREE) released its 2025 Legislative Business Ratings (LBR), a comprehensive analysis measuring how state legislators supported or hindered the state’s economic competitiveness. Representative Bell earned a 90.5 percent rating, the second-highest score in the N.C. House. Since taking office, he has consistently ranked among the top five lawmakers each year.
In addition, the NC Chamber named Representative Bell a “Jobs Champion” in its annual How They Voted report. Bell supported the Chamber’s Jobs Agenda 90 percent of the time during the 2025 legislative session and maintains a lifetime rating of 94 percent.
“I’m proud to be recognized for supporting policies that help North Carolina businesses grow and create jobs,” said Representative Bell. “Our state continues to lead the nation in economic development because we remain focused on keeping taxes low, cutting red tape, and investing in a stronger workforce. I will always be a champion for pro-growth reforms that boost job creation, strengthen our economy, and attract new investment — especially in rural areas.”
NC Chamber President and CEO Gary Salamido praised Bell’s leadership, adding, “As we work to protect and advance North Carolina’s standing as a top state for business, job creators rely on leaders who take decisive action to keep our state competitive. The leadership demonstrated by this year’s Jobs Champions strengthens North Carolina’s ability to grow, attract investment, and expand opportunities for families and communities across North Carolina.”
