Julia Baker Evans, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Wilson County on May 2, 1949, she was daughter of the late Willie and Bertha Cobb Baker.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harold Ray Evans; and brother, Jodie Baker.

Julia is survived by her son, Ray Evans and wife, Nancy; four brothers, Thomas Baker, Frank Baker, Charles Baker, and Don Baker. Julia is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Julia was lighthearted and loved to laugh. She enjoyed every minute she got to spend in her flower beds. The simple things in life brought Julia the most happiness.

A private burial was held in Kenly Cemetery for Julia.
