November 7, 2025, 73, Goldsboro —
Brenda Gail Allen, affectionately known as “Stuff,” age 73, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on November 7, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1952, in Seven Springs, North Carolina, to the late Willo and Mary Jane Parks Whitfield.
Brenda was educated in the Duplin County School System and proudly graduated from East Duplin High School. She later attended Wayne Community College, where she pursued her passion for nursing, a calling that perfectly reflected her lifelong desire to care for and uplift others. Known by many as “the forever nurse,” Brenda carried her compassion and nurturing spirit beyond her profession, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Felicia Tittle of Creedmoor, NC; three sisters, Mary Lou Whitfield of Suitland, MD, Belinda Whitfield of Goldsboro, NC, and Almenter Pickett (Jacob) of Dudley, NC; and three brothers, Ronald Whitfield (Delphine) of Dudley, NC, Ted Whitfield (Alicia) of Goldsboro, NC, and Willo Whitfield, Jr. of Cordova, TN. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
Brenda will be remembered for her independent spirit, strong mind, and caring heart. She had a deep love for the Lord and lived her life through faith and service. Her ability to motivate, encourage, and make others laugh left an impression on everyone she met.
Her favorite saying, “Look Up,” perfectly captured her outlook on life, a reminder to stay hopeful, trust in God, and keep moving forward no matter the challenge.
Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Winston-Salem State University Brenda Gail Whitfield & Mary Fowlkes Scholarship.
