James Raeford Ingram, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro. Born in Wayne County on August 15, 1943, he was son to the late Carl Ingram and Floy Neal Ingram.

James is survived by his daughter, Betsy Ingram (Dowell Rouse); his son, David Ingram (Lindsey); grandchildren, James Austin Jenkins (Kenzie), Elijah Ingram and Micah Ingram; great-grandchild, Emelynn Jenkins; his companion, Margaret Compton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kirby Ingram; his brother, Cedric Ingram; and his sister, Carolyn Westbrook.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to honor James’ life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Bill Rose officiating.
