Elizabeth Kearney Radford, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after many years of declining health while at Willow Creek Nursing Home. Elizabeth was born in Wayne County on November 21, 1928, to the late James and Zula Mae Sewell Kearney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alphonzo Radford; sister, Sudie Mae Jones; and brothers, Cornelius Kearney and James “Bud” Kearney.

For many years, Elizabeth worked with Woodard’s Care in Goldsboro.

Elizabeth loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful member of both Clingman Street Church of God and New Hope Road Church of God during her lifetime. As long as her health allowed, she joyfully served in ministry and dedicated her time and talents to her church family. Her steadfast faith and gentle spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating her life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Steve Holder officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Brenda R. Baker; son, Luby Radford; sisters, Rachel Pelt and Joan Allen; grandson, Timothy Baker and wife, Denise, and John Mark Baker; granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Baker Sierra; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Her family rejoices knowing she is now whole again, resting in the eternal presence of the Lord she so faithfully served.
